Parents and Guardians of 7th Graders
September 2012
Dear parents and guardians,
Thank you very much for visiting our website! I will do my best to keep it updated once I begin meeting with the 7th grade students in the 3rd trimester. Please feel free to contact me here if you have any questions.
I will see your student every day during the 3rd trimester, and we will expand on what the students learned last year in 6th grade Spanish. This year they will be taking Spanish 1A and they will continue with Spanish 1B next year in 8th grade. It should be a great year and I look forward to meeting you and your student!
Sincerely,
Señorita Ray

Hello! Thank you so much for stopping by our class website to see what's going on in your child's Spanish class. You can visit this tab to see what we've been learning in class.

As we move into the 2nd trimester, your child will be learning much more! Please check back often for more updates, and check out the "Extra Resources" tab to see what your child can do at home to further his/her learning of Spanish.

In the first trimester, students reviewed what they had learned last year and expanded on it. For the students who did not have Spanish in 7th grade, we retaught and caught them up to where the other students were at. Some of the things that your children learned and can do include the following:
- Ask and answer basic questions (What's your name? How are you? What's up? etc.)
- Count to 100 in Spanish
- Say the Spanish alphabet and tell how to spell a word using the Spanish alphabet
- Ask and tell what time it is
- Tell what the parts of the body are and say that a part of the body hurts (ie. My head hurts.)
As we move into the 2nd trimester, your child will be learning much more! Please check back often for more updates, and check out the "Extra Resources" tab to see what your child can do at home to further his/her learning of Spanish.
